Case Guides are Live!
This iteration of Blueprint is organized around three verticals to promote diversity in research directions: Health Disparities and Infrastructure, Social Distancing and Travel Restrictions, and Health and Welfare.
Vertical 1: COVID-19 Symptoms
Parallel to efforts to create a vaccine for the highly infectious disease, researchers have undergone extensive efforts to report and analyze an array of COVID-19 symptoms reported from patients around the world. Your task will be to discover patterns in symptom data as presented in patients, and to develop models to accurately predict COVID-19 diagnostic test results.
Blueprint Datathon has partnered with Enya.AI this year to host the COVID-19 Symptoms vertical.

Vertical 2: Health Disparities & Infrastructure
The pandemic has highlighted the long-standing disparities and inequities that exist in the health infrastructures of many countries around the world, including in the United States. Issues such as lack of access to quality health facilities, socioeconomic conditions, and racial discrimination disproportionately affect vulnerable and marginalized populations.
Your task will be to analyze given data to identify key socioeconomic factors that are contributing to these disparities, and understand the how these disparities themselves progress as the pandemic continues.

Vertical 3: Social Distancing & Mobility
As scientists continue to push towards a vaccine or cure for Covid-19, people have been encouraged to practice “social distancing” to mitigate the virus' spread. But as the 'novelty' of social distancing protocols wear off worldwide, many have gotten tired of quarantining and are venturing out of their homes.
Your task is to explore the given data set to examine the effectiveness of social distancing. You will do this by identifying predictors of COVID-19 transmission/mortality, and then analyzing the progression of the pandemic in relation to social and policy changes nationwide.
